This blog will be dedicated to ideas, explorations, and experiences pertaining to archaeology and literature. Some would say that art and science should not and could not meet, but surely each human being has galaxies of both reason and creativity within them, if they only dare to attempt the unification of them into one state of mind. As Montaigne tried to do in his essays 500 years ago (the French verb essayer meaning “to try” or “to attempt”), and Emerson attempted in his essays 150 years ago, these electronic essays may address Archaeopoetics – or maybe it should be Literarchaeology – in an always literate, sometimes humorous, and, I trust, never an ill-mannered way.
